What do you think one of the primary complaints is that employees make about their bosses? Believe it or not, many employees feel that their bosses schedule too many meetings (an average of 4 hours per week) and that those meetings are largely unnecessary and kill productivity.
No matter how intelligent you might be in one area, when you start to learn a new skill it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and a little slow. You might find yourself in situations where you have no idea which way to go and making decisions without knowing all the facts or the possible consequences.
There is a saying: “Most people vastly overestimate what they can do in one year and vastly underestimate what they can do in five or ten years.”
You have probably heard me talk quite a bit about my financial theory “Forever Cash”. For me, nothing validates my ideas more than independent confirmation. In other words, I like seeing others (who have never met me) using the methods I talk about and having great success doing so. Bob Parsons is a great example.
The theory of building a pile of cash (also often known as “the number”) that will last for life has not worked for most people. Unless you are extremely disciplined or that mountain of money is huge, it never has and it never will work. Just ask all those people who lost their money with Enron or in a huge market crash when they were ready to hit retirement.
